Haptic presents PNW films in Serbia!

Part of Haptic’s mission is to help distribute independent animations made in the PNW around the world. I’m happy to announce that we will be presenting two shorts programs at the Animanima International Animation Festival in Cacak, Serbia, next week. Haptic founder Tess Martin will be making the trip to present the programs and give a lecture elaborating on the scene.

What films are included? The first shorts program includes films from Stefan Gruber, Laura Heit, Joan Gratz, Drew Christie, Britta Johnson, Kurtis Hough, Michel Gagnè, Devin Ensz, Webster Crowell and Chel White, whereas the second program is a mini-retrospective of Bruce Bickford‘s work, showing two of his pencil shorts and his new 45 minute clay film CAS’L’. Both screenings take place on Sunday, September 11th, and the lecture on Saturday, September 10th.

While in the country Tess will also present a selection of these films at the ‘American Corner‘ cultural center in the American Embassy in Belgrade. Thank you to Animanima for having us!
